    Job Summary

    Responsible for assuring consistent quality production and processes at LDB Beverage by conducting testing procedures during manufacturing, to ensure that products comply with quality standards. This role requires interaction with employees across all levels of the organization to achieve objectives, as they relate to GMPs, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), organic, gluten free and kosher certifications.

    General Accountabilities

    Manages/oversees the completion of the Food Safety Schedule, to ensure the food safety program is maintained at the appropriate intervals.

    Completes daily internal audits throughout the facility, with an emphasis on the packaging line, to ensure that all safety and quality policies are being followed by all staff.

    Performs separate quality checks on the packaging line and in the Cellar to ensure all staff are following the stated checks and the requirements.

    Performs daily audits of packaging run paperwork once submitted to the office and reports all failures to the Packaging/Cellar Leads, Quality Manager, and any other stakeholders as needed.

    Conducts field tests to ensure equipment and HACCP processes are performing as expected.

    Conducts weekly/monthly internal calibration procedures on equipment.

    Trains staff as it relates to food safety.

    Leads the internal Safety & Quality Assurance team.

    Collects and prepares for shipment any Brand Owner and/or LDB required retains and samples for lab analysis.

    Evaluates data and drafts reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.

    Determines and manages any finished product or raw materials on QC hold and ensures all re-work is completed to specification for release.

    Identifies areas for quality control improvement and implements new methods accordingly.

    Reviews and develops inspection and process reporting in collaboration with other stakeholders as necessary.

    Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.

    Skills/Qualifications

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

    Minimum of 3 years of inspection in a food/beverage production environment.

    Excellent organizational skills.

    Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and report information.

    Critical thinking and complex problem solving.

    Ability to interact with and manage diverse stakeholders in a positive manner.

    Ability to adapt to a changing workload.

    Ability to manage and promote process improvement.

    Competency with Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
