Responsibilities will include conducting field geophysical testing, analyzing data, circuit board design and test system debugging, partnering with department personnel on product design and testing for R&D and market development. What You Will Be Doing
Work with Electrical Engineer to create and test prototype systems; Create Proof of Concepts and test setups to validate the latest features of prototype systems;
Design novel ways to test system responses under different conditions;
Assist in the development of tools and setup calibration methods to scale testing to a variety of products;
Develop circuit board layouts and bring up small test boards with Electrical Engineering;
Automation Test development experience with Python and test scripts is a plus;
Help debug and maintain our test systems;
Use multi-meters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug Hardware issue;
Add data acquisition units to the system;
Analyze and report logs; and
Present product demos and provide customer service support to both a general and technical audience.
What You Need for this Position
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience;
Experience with hardware and schematics, MSP430 and ALTIUM preferred;
Experience in using common test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, SMU, etc.);
Basic electrical knowledge;
1-2+ years work experience in related field;
Ability to travel at least 25% required;
Excellent problem-solving skills, reliant on core engineering principles and common sense; and
Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills (both in presentation and technical writing).
