Trove Nutrition recently launched two new, disruptive brands in the nutrition market. Oath Nutrition and Canoo Kids. We are in search of a dynamic R&D Manager to lead our product development and quality initiatives, helping us disrupt the nutrition industry in both sports performance and pediatric nutrition.

As the R&D Manager at Trove Nutrition, you will be a key contributor behind the development of new, scientifically backed, sports and kids nutrition products. You’ll coordinate and champion our R&D development efforts, guiding the creation of ready-to-mix supplements, ready-to-drink beverages, bars, gummies, and more. Your expertise will bridge the gap between concept and market, delivering products that not only taste great but also provide the nutritional benefits promised by our brands.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Innovate and develop new product lines for our forthcoming two nutrition brands, adhering to the highest standards of nutritional value and consumer satisfaction.
• Manage the in-house lab for prototyping, from experimenting with flavors to perfecting nutritional profiles.
• Create and maintain our Master Formulation Sheets, ensuring all specs, claims, and material sources align with expectations.
• Organize project timelines and budgets to ensure all new products launch on schedule and within cost parameters.
• Ensure all product formulations are compliant with industry regulations and standards for both sports and children’s nutrition.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to scale up production while maintaining product quality and integrity.
• Oversee Trove Nutrition Quality Program, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing product quality controls, implementing our Quality Management Systems and processes, and more.
• Stay ahead of the curve by researching nutrition trends, consumer demands, and novel ingredients.
• Implement comprehensive testing protocols to affirm product stability, safety, and consumer satisfaction.
• Mentor and establish an R&D team towards achieving project goals and nurturing their professional development.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in R&D within the sports and/or children’s nutrition sectors.
• Demonstrated success in formulating and launching nutritional products.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for sports and children’s nutrition products.
• Leadership experience with a talent for motivating and developing a skilled R&D team.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for nutrition and wellness.
