    Customer Service & Warehouse Associate – Job Description

    REPORTS TO:  Branch Manager

    BASED AT:  RAF Seamless Gutter Supply- White Marsh, Frederick, Crofton, or Manassas

    JOB PURPOSE:  To provide a contact between RAF Seamless Gutter Supply and their Customers for information, orders, and materials & Assist with the daily activities of receiving material, putting material away, and processing customer orders in the warehouse.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.      Develop product knowledge necessary to process orders and answer customer questions.

    2.      Receiving and forwarding phone calls to the appropriate departments.

    3.      Process customer orders for delivery and pick up at branch locations.

    4.      Process payments for orders: credit cards, checks, and cash.

    5.      Pulling and packing orders for deliveries and pick-up customers.

    6.      Fabrication of gutters in the appropriate size, color, and measurements by using the warehouse gutter machines.

    7.      Assist with loading delivery trucks with materials to be delivered that day.

    8.      Unloading trucks and checking orders for materials delivered to the warehouse from vendors.

    9.      Putting material away in the appropriate location in the warehouse.

    10.  Notify Branch Manager when stock is low.

    11.  Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas.

    12.  Maintain showroom supplies at desired stock levels.

    13.  Maintain showroom displays for completeness and cleanliness.

    14.  Monthly inventory of showroom supplies.

    15.  Assist Marketing Department with mailings and promotions.

    16.  Assist Office Staff with billing, scanning, copying, and mailing.

    17.  Assist manufacturing area in Frederick location as directed by Branch Manager.

    18.  Light housekeeping responsibilities.

    19.  Maintain company standard for quality.

    20.  Maintain company standard for customer care.

    21.  Must be versatile and willing to help others as needed.

    22.  Must be available to work beyond your standard shift when necessary.

    23.  Other duties as assigned by management.

    SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:

    1.      Must be proficient with computer skills. Adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later. Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access a plus.

    2.      Must be an excellent face to face and telephone communicator.

    3.      Must be customer service friendly.

    4.      Must be able to understand, speak, and write English proficiently.

    5.      Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight.

    6.      Must be physically able to climb a ladder.

    7.      Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

    8.      High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

    9.      Forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified.

    10.  Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

    PERSONALITY:  Friendly, outgoing personality. Mature, competent, credible, able to handle conflict situations and handle them according to company policy. Must pay attention to detail and must be able to follow company standard operating procedure (SOP). Must be able to multitask. Reliable and responsible. Able to take directions. Must be able to get along with others, be a team player, but also able to function independently.
