Resident Assistant

- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistants to join our team. The Resident Assistant (RA) will provide essential support to residents, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and able to work collaboratively with staff and residents. Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor residents’ health, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help residents participate in activities designed to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse or manager.
- Ensure a clean living area for each resident including bathrooms, and keeping living areas out of clutter, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties and assisting with infection control protocols.
- Foster a positive relationship with residents, encouraging social interaction and participation in community events.
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies, providing appropriate assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement personalized care plans for each resident.
- Assist with meal service, including setting tables, serving food, and cleaning up after meals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or residential setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, such as lifting and transferring residents.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
