Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Resident Advisor will onsite supervision and support to residents, as well as oversee the safety and security of the facility.
Essential Functions
o Facilitate all intakes for new residents, including collecting data, inspecting resident belongings, and orienting residents to house expectations and guidelines.
o Provide Residents with a list of house rules.
o Liaise with the housekeeper to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate residents needs.
o Conduct room inspections to ensure Residents are properly maintaining their area, clean and neat manner per house rules.
o Ensure safety and security within the house at all times.
o Provide administrative support by answering the phone and greeting visitors and volunteers, ensuring that they have a positive experience.
o Check in with Residents who are on-site to ensure Resident safety and welfare.
o Respond to resident complaints in a timely and professional manner.
o Assist with conflict resolution in coordination with Resident Case Manager, always aiming to maintain a fair, positive, and supportive culture.
o Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences among the agencys client population
o Actively participate in a quality improvement project
.
Competency Requirements
Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
Basic computer skills including data entry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
A collaborative, positive, and mature approach.
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse preferred.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent

Department of Justice/Fingerprint clearance (Live Scan)
Tuberculosis clearance
Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
