Job description:
The Four Feathers RICE project is looking for energetic, hardworking, and committed individuals that have a passion for working with children and young adults and want to help make a change in peoples’ lives. This position will work with teens and young adults in Teller County and El Paso County, Colorado. Although each staff member will work with a team to implement a plan of action that includes an evidence-based life skills curriculum, the design of this position is for each worker to feel emboldened to use their own approaches to connect with their clients. This will allow each staff member to develop their own strengths and build strong relationships with their clients, in turn helping them make good decisions that will lead them down a more successful path in life.
The responsibilities of each team member include:
-Implement and record evidence-based life skills training completion
-Complete their own timesheet, intake documentation, and notes for each contact with a client within provided timeframes
-Provide individual and group guidance to our clients
-Teach appropriate boundaries and life skills in a variety of ways including during activities in the community
-Teach a variety of life skills such as job readiness, interpersonal skills, coping skills, prosocial activities, emotional management
-Facilitate a variety of activities with clients, such as fishing, basketball, art projects, hiking, biking etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred- experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Experience working with teens and families
Clean driving record
Personal car insurance
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the availability of clients
Ability to pass CBI background check
Willingness to drive company van
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20.52 - $24.51 per hour
