    Job Description

    Manta is seeking a Community Manager who is eager to gain real-world experience and work with Manta’s Title and Fan Marketing Teams to bring Manta’s original titles to the fans in the US. This is an exceptional opportunity to get exposure to content marketing and community management with a meaningful amount of autonomy and empowerment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital and offline marketing and understands the culture of webcomics or other bingeable contents. The role requires a highly organized individual who is self-starting, personable, and creative. The right candidate should be comfortable working on various projects and interacting with new people via digital medium and in real life.

    The ideal candidate will be based in the Los Angeles area and will be working closely with colleagues based in Seoul, Korea.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support Manta’s Title and Fan Marketing Teams’ activities with lead generation and outreach in various channels: digital media and/or offline events and activations such as conferences
    • Cultivate new and nurture established relationships with fans of Manta and its original titles
    • Assist and be flexible with special projects as needed such as users engagement, creative content development, and market research
    • Stay up-to-date on current trends, construct insights on fans and webcomics/contents market in the US, and actively share with the marketing team
    • Work closely with the Lead of Title and Fan Marketing Teams
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Required education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferably a degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television, or a related field
    • A results-focused, hard-working, critical thinker who is motivated by community building in the Los Angeles area and surrounding regions at a grassroots level
    • Highly collaborative sensibility with the ability to be open-minded to feedback and always seeking out the best idea, not just their own idea
    • An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge and appreciation of niche K-culture, webcomics, or fandom communities
    • A team player who is also comfortable working independently
    • An avid webtoon reader

        SCREENING PROCESS

    PROBATION PERIOD
