    grooming services can be a key element in boosting self-esteem and confidence, particularly for those who are facing
    financial or personal challenges.

    Job Summary:
    The Barber Assistant Fellow will support experienced barbers in providing professional barbering services to individuals within our community who are in need. This role is integral to our mission of enhancing personal dignity and well-being through accessible grooming services, while gaining hands-on experience in the barbering field, and developing professional skills in a supportive learning environment. The position is ideal for individuals passionate
    about barbering who are seeking to build a strong foundation for a successful career. It is designed to be a steppingstone for aspiring barbers and cosmetologists providing the skills and experience needed to excel in the field.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ● Client Service: Assist in welcoming clients, ensuring a positive experience, and addressing their needs and
    preferences.
    ● Grooming Assistance: Support barbers in performing various grooming tasks, including haircuts, shaves,
    trims, and styling. Washing hair.
    ● Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing tools
    and equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
    ● Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to
    enhance barbering skills and industry knowledge.
    ● Product Knowledge: Gain familiarity with various haircare and grooming products, and assist in
    recommending products to clients based on their needs.
    ● Administrative Tasks: Help with scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling
    payments as required.
    ● Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients, offering advice, and
    ensuring overall satisfaction.

    Qualifications:
    ● Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must at least be enrolled in high school. Completion of a
    barbering program or similar education is preferred.
    ● Experience: Prior experience in a barbering or cosmetology setting is advantageous but not required.
    ● Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and
    adapt.
    ● Personal Traits: Professional appearance, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in barbering and client
    care.
    ● Licensing: Must meet local licensing requirements for barbering or have a valid apprentice permit if
    applicable.
