Job Title: RN Administrative Support
We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses to join our healthcare team. The position requires independent judgment and nursing actions, flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize an interdisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing care.
Referral Coordination Team (RTC) Registered Nurses' duties include:
• Triage specialty consults for clinical appropriateness & completeness within the National RCI Standards for coordinated care.
• Communicate with veterans on their health care options via phone calls to determine receiving care at VA facility or through the community eligible providers so the veterans can make informed decisions on how/when/where to receive specialty care if they are eligible for CC.
• Provide clinical knowledge to the veterans and act as a clinical resource to multidisciplinary staff (MDs, LIPs, SW, HAS, etc.) within our VISN19 and outside the VISN.
• Collaborate with CACs to rebuild/modify consult templates.
• Serve as a liaison to both internal staff and CC staff during the consult process.
• Serves as liaison to the ordering provider and specialty care services RCI is implemented into.
• Serves as Delegation of Authority by building trusting relationships with the Specialty providers in the clinics RCI is implemented into based on vetted RCT Specialty Triage Tools with the VA specialty providers we collaborate.
Requirements
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
• Minimum of two (2) years direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program.
• Can hold an Active/unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or the Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
• Current BLS required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
Job Type: Full-time Temporary
Schedule: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (Mon. - Fri.)
