Job description
An RN Cardiac Cath Lab's duties and responsibilities focus on giving patients timely care.
Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physicians continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients' condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Shift info: 0700-1930 (3x12's)
The STEMI call expectation is 1 weekend/month & 1 weekday/week Must be willing to float to Cath Lab. Must have at least 1 year of experience in EP Lab IR experience is a PLUS! Must be able to pace and monitor in Maclab. Required Certifications: AHA BLS AHA ACLS
Required Electrophysiology Procedures: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab Interventional Cardiac Cath lab Circulate Procedures Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias Ventilator Monitoring electrophysiology & hybrid OR
Special procedures/unit details: structural heart (mitral, tavr, triclip, LAOO, PFO)
Special equipment : impella (Right & Left) , IVUS, FFR, Angiojet, Ekos, Rotablator,
NO RTO within first 2 weeks of start date. RTO can not be changed after submission
Qualifications Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
One (1) year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area is required.
