  • Responsibilities

    Provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Ensures standards of professional practice and hospital policies and procedures are followed. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

    Required Experience

    Required:

    • Current California RN license
    • Current American Heart Association- Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Evidence of continuing education
    • Certified as a lactation educator
    • Demonstrated teaching ability in formal and informal setting

    Preferred:

    • BSN

    • Specialty Certification

    • Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in Maternal-Child
      Care as appropriate for clinical specialty

    • International Board of certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - Preferred
