    Full-Time Position

    Job Overview: Regency Park of Carroll is looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team.     Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assess and Monitor Health: Conduct regular health assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in residents’ conditions, providing updates to physicians or nursing supervisors as needed.
    • Administer Medications & Treatments: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and timely administration. Monitor resident reactions to medications and report any adverse effects.
    • Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with the care team to develop, implement, and update individual care plans based on residents' specific needs, preferences, and health conditions.
    • Provide Direct Care: Provide hands-on nursing care including wound care, catheter management, and IV therapy, ensuring all medical procedures are performed with accuracy and professionalism.
    • Resident Education & Support: Educate residents and their families on health conditions, care needs, medications, and wellness strategies to promote better outcomes and a higher quality of life.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident health status, treatments, medications, and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
    • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, assessing the situation and providing appropriate care or assistance as needed.
    • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, individualized care for each resident.
    • Quality Control & Safety: Ensure that infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies are followed to provide a safe environment for residents and staff.
    • Leadership and Support: Assist in mentoring and supporting less experienced staff, promoting a positive work environment and contributing to team development.

    Education Requirements & Qualifications:

    • For RN: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Iowa.
    • For LPN: Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Iowa.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare settings is preferred.
    • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all resident and staff interactions.
    • Knowledge of state regulations and guidelines for long-term care settings.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and move residents, equipment, and supplies as needed (up to 50 pounds).
    • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach in order to perform nursing tasks and care duties.
    • Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations, including lifting, moving, or transferring residents when necessary.
    • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, noise, and occasional chemical hazards.
    • Must have good hand-eye coordination for administering injections, medications, and other nursing tasks.
