RVNAhealth is seeking a full-time maternal/child health RN to deliver health education services to expectant individuals and their families within a home-based setting. The nurse home visitor will offer prenatal education, nutritional guidance, and support in setting and achieving health-related goals. Responsibilities include educating participants on infant care, early childhood development, and promoting positive health behaviors.
Our Nurse-Family Partnership Program caters to a diverse population, particularly those affected by economic disparities. Responsibilities:
Travel in greater Waterbury/Danbury areas required (primarily in Waterbury)
Attends and participates in initial and ongoing education, including travel to Denver, Colorado for week-long in-person training (all expenses paid).
Carries a caseload of up to 15 clients (PT).
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including limited evenings and weekends (will be planned in advance with nurse input; flex time offered).
Requirements:
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
Spanish-speaking highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills, and basic computer skills needed.
Home visiting experience a plus
Valid driver’s license and insured automobile required.
