Purchaser RNL Homes’ mission is to enrich the lives of families in the Brazos County and its surrounding areas by building beautiful superior-quality homes while providing an extraordinary home-buying experience. We are looking for an energetic individual with a drive to embrace our mission and become a key member of our team. The Purchaser is responsible for the contract procurement process, maintaining accurate records, and estimating supplies and materials. This Purchaser partially maintains the purchasing system and software along with the Estimator. Responsibilities:

Obtain bids, analyze, negotiate, and award contracts

Create and issue purchase orders as each home is released for construction

Continually seek out new subcontractors and vendors

Thoroughly and accurately estimate and budget projects

Revise estimates based on plan revisions

Accurately input and maintain the Purchasing System

Review completed tasks for accuracy and quality

Manage deadlines and goals and complete assignments in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Thorough understanding of the homebuilding process and construction terminology

Knowledge of purchasing and estimating processes and procedures

Self-starter that can effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines

Excellent customer service, communication, math, negotiation and analytical skills

High level of professionalism

Ability to follow blueprints, drawings and specifications

High School Diploma

Preferred experience:

A minimum of 2 years of purchasing in the homebuilding industry
