Our specialty veterinary dental practice is a privately-owned specialty practice located in beautiful northern CA, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our caseload includes a wide variety of patients, ranging from geriatric with multiple medical issues and extensive oral disease, to young, healthy patients with painful malocclusions or dental fractures. Key Responsibilities:

VTS – Anesthesia/Analgesia:

• Work with the Veterinary Dentists and consulting board-certified Anesthesiologists to develop a comprehensive plan for anesthesia, from premedication and induction to maintenance and through recovery.
• Assist other technicians with patient monitoring throughout anesthesia and recovery.
• Ensure patients are comfortable in a stress-free environment, monitor for signs of discomfort, and recommend pain management as needed.
• Operate and maintain anesthesia vaporizers, breathing circuits, scavenge system and patient monitors.
• Assist with training of other technicians.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certified Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia/Analgesia.
• Licensed in the state of California as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
• Detail-oriented and organized, while also self-motivated and efficient.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a collegial and collaborative approach.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary based on experience; estimate $80,000-90,000 per year for full-time; part-time options are available.
