Job Description:
Imaging Procedures:
Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities as needed, in accordance with the orders from the physician.
Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain the clearest and most accurate diagnostic images.
Adjust and maintain imaging equipment to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure proper patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Patient Care & Preparation:
Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being.
Prepare and manage contrast agents and other necessary imaging supplies as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate and support surgical procedures.
Assist in the positioning and imaging of patients as required for diagnostic and pre-operative assessments.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
Maintenance & Inventory Management:
Ensure the imaging area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
Assist with the inventory management of imaging supplies, ordering replacements as needed to avoid shortages.
Ensure that the imaging equipment is maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Active and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Arizona required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced certifications (e.g., fluoroscopy) may be required or preferred depending on the specific duties of the role.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a surgical or outpatient setting.
Experience in imaging for orthopedics, spine surgery, or similar specialties is a plus.
