Position Summary
Radiation Technologist needed for growing, multi-disciplinary pain management practice. Cases are performed Monday-Friday, with half days on Fridays, no evening, weekend or call work required. Travel to our Ambulatory Surgical Center in Denver, CO will be required a few times a month, a travel stipend will be provided. The position may lead to administrative roles and responsibilities based on qualifications and experience. Job Duties and Expectations
Under the direction of a pain physician, performs duties of general radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations of spine and orthopedic radiology with technical skill and competency.
Perform a variety of technical imaging procedures with prudent judgement and commitment to patient and staff safety while also adjusting equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
Exercise skilled judgment in selecting and configuring equipment settings to compensate for patient physiologic variances. Ability to consistently produce quality images of various anatomical structures.
Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures. Assembles necessary supplies and positioning acids for scheduled procedures according to physician’s preference cards.
Competently perform radiology technician functions, while also following principles of aseptic technique during each procedure.
Position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required.
Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition. Performs maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures as directed.
Ensure that facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with the policies, procedures and protocols established by the Medical Director.
Maintains assigned work area in clean and orderly condition and competent and responsible in the prevention of contamination and transfer of infection.
Track and order supplies and materials for all procedures.
Detail-focused and have the ability to multi-task, interact and communicate positively and effectively.
Provide positive goal-oriented technical leadership in relation to radiology procedures, promoting an atmosphere of support and unmatched quality.
Provide exemplary patient care in the preoperative and postoperative settings while working in a professional manner in a team approach.
Demonstrate independent critical thinking skills for radiology operations and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions.
Proactively work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate the company’s values of excellence, poise, leadership and service.
Completes ongoing continual education to improve job performance, maintain licensure/certification/registration, and stays abreast in best current practices and trends.
Reliable transportation required.
Required Skills
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology required.
AART Registered and ACLS/BLS current
Minimum of one-year of professional work experience in performing general radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures. Pain and C-arm experience highly preferred.
Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, AAAHC, and Joint Commission Regulations
Must possess independent decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner

Location of Position
Colorado Springs, CO. The clinic supports the comprehensive conservative treatment options found at all of our practice locations, but also includes a fully equipped in-office procedure suite with fluoroscopy, RF pulse generator, and regenerative stem cell therapy services. This allows patients to receive comprehensive pain care in a single location, while allowing our providers to work as a collaborative team to improve patient outcomes.
Office Hours
Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm. No call, no evenings, and no weekends. Full-time position.
