Halfaker has an opening for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

• ​Build powerhouse back end and data management solutions that will integrate with digital workflow systems on a DoD enterprise platform by utilizing the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to build a user focused solution
• Execute on solutions that will help your customer overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like Database-centric design, Workflow, BPM, and IFTTT modeling, REST and RESTful services, Event Driven Processing, OAUTH and LDAP security models alongside open source frameworks and tools like JavaScript, Java, Tomcat, and MySQL
• Create custom databases, tools, and sites with consistent performance and scalability
• Impact the DoD intelligence community workforce by creating interoperable tools that enable employees to actively manage their professional development and career assignments while simultaneously measuring and reporting metrics vital to career field leaders

Required Skills

• Experience with full stack software development using Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Knowledge of Git, Agile, and Scrum
• Ability to operate independently on clearly defined requirements and escalate risks when found

Required Experience

• TS/SCI clearance required at start 
• BA or BS degree
