The role you will play
- This role is pivotal in the successful integration, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems within a radiation oncology environment..
- Monday through Friday
- Install, configure, and maintain Elekta EMR/TPS and Varian Linac systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within the radiation oncology workflow.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the integration of MOSAIQ with Linac, facilitating data exchange and synchronization between treatment planning systems and treatment delivery devices.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of DICOM standards to facilitate the exchange of medical images and treatment data between different IT systems, ensuring compatibility and interoperability.
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance protocols for radiation oncology IT systems, including regular testing and validation to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users on system functionalities, integration processes, and best practices, fostering user proficiency and confidence in utilizing IT solutions.
- Proactively identify and address technical issues and performance bottlenecks, leveraging strong problem-solving skills to implement timely resolutions and minimize downtime.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and technical specifications in accordance with organizational guidelines and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in radiation oncology IT, and evaluate their potential impact on current systems and workflows.
- Travel to local Rad/Onc clinics for service on equipment and systems.

Background Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience working in a Rad Onc mixed vendor environment, with a focus on Elekta EMR/TPS and Varian Linac systems.
- Proficiency in integrating MOSAIQ with the Linac and facilitating data exchange between treatment planning and delivery systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to quality standards.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality assurance guidelines relevant to radiation oncology IT systems.
