POSITION SUMMARY
The Test Technician performs operational tests on RF amplifiers and subassemblies, also troubleshooting analysis on moderately complex production components, subassemblies and systems by following test specifications, standard test procedures and written/verbal instructions.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform operational tests on a wide variety of moderately complex RF amplifiers and subassemblies using data sheets, design drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, established test specifications and standard test procedures which outline procedures to be followed
Utilize Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters and Oscilloscopes to test amplifiers, switches, digital attenuators, phase shifters and digital control assemblies
Test and tune RF modules and/or systems in accordance with data sheets and test procedures to comply with product specifications and performance standards
Interpret test data to evaluate functionality and quality of RF modules and/or systems
Troubleshoot, locate and diagnose improper function within the RF module and/or system utilizing technical knowledge and standard test procedures
Determine rework instructions when necessary and follow up with re-test after rework to approve final test results
Record test data and notify supervisor of unfavorable trends or conditions
Strive to meet all production goals and initiatives for maximum efficiency and quality
May participate in field tests and customer-site installations
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of RF testing experience using test equipment (Network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree or ongoing education in electronics or equivalent training with related experience
