    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Radiology / Cardiology Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team! 13-week travel contract Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) in the Hamilton area! As a Radiology Technician, you will be preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results. You will also be assisting in maintaining and cleaning radiology equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining an inventory of daily supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in a medical setting, and excellent attention to detail.

    13 weeks… 7a-5:30p… On call 1 weekend/month, 1 night/week... NO FIRST TIMERS... 2+ yrs exp required… BLS and ACLS required upon start… ARRT or RCIS required upon start... Experience with Balloon pump, EKOS, power injector, IVUS is required… Patient mix: Two lab cardiac cath unit. Elective angioplasty, carotid stenting, peripheral intervention, temporary pacemakers, balloon pumps, EKOS; Adult patients… General duties: EPIC Charting… Scrubs provided…

    Responsibilities

    Get to know patients to understand their medical needs and concerns, building and maintaining connections

    Set up equipment for testing, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure to get the proper results

    Thoroughly document all patient services within a patient’s chart

    Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary

    Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment

    Qualifications

    American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Experience with medical charting desired

    Strong attention to detail
