    Radiology Manager at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

    • In addition to leadership responsibilities for Outpatient and OR Radiology operations, the Radiology Manager also serves the role of Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) as defined by State regulations and qualifications.
    • The Manager places an emphasis on day-to-day clinical leadership in all department services areas with direct accountability to meet staffing and scheduling demands of Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center.
    • This person works collegially for radiology services with other department leaders and assists the department director to manage OR and Outpatient functions and operations.
    • Additional responsibilities include overseeing practice, competency and clinical validation of radiology staff.

    Qualifications:

    Education

    · High School diploma or equivalent

    · Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

    Licensure/Certification

    · Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) Certificate

    · Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License

    · Current BLS certification

    Specific Job Experience

    • Two to five years’ experience specific to SURG/DIAG
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with multiple department modalities including but not limited to: C-ARM use in the surgical setting, MRI, CT, x-ray, and interventional radiology.
    • Working knowledge of regulatory requirement for corporations including State and The Joint Commission standards
    • Management experience, preferred.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Meets all Radiological Technologist position competencies and responsibilities.

    · Meets all position responsibilities and requirements for Radiation Safety Officer as defined by Title 25 Texas Administrative Code.

    · Ensures appropriate staffing to meet census and acuity needs.

    · Manages contracted services for patient care and equipment maintenance

    · Drives regulatory and compliance adherence at all times

    · Ensures schedule for staff are prepared as well as manages equipment for operations.

    · Rounds on Surgeons and other Physicians, ensuring that needs are met.]

    · Holds staff accountable for implementing performance improvement initiatives.

    · Prepares and submits clinical data reporting for the Facility as well as Regulatory needs

    · Direct oversight of the Hospital radiation Safety program

    · Facilitates unit-based Shared Governance, staff meeting, other hospital-based committees, Process Improvement reporting, and department specific goals and objectives.

    · Provides education and training to staff

    · Provides one-on-one remediation, as needed.

    · May be requested to cover for Department Director as needed

    · Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

    · Good organization habits

    · Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of unit.

    · Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
