The Radiographic Technologist is responsible for performing professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures, utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis in patients of all ages. Position: Radiographic Technologist
Compensation: $25-$38 per hour
Location: Roanoke, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiological procedures with accuracy and professionalism, ensuring compliance with Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.

• Assess patients appropriately before, during, and after radiological procedures.

• Operate specialized equipment, including radiographic units, Digital Radiography (DR) systems, and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

• Administer IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and other technical skills as required by departmental standards.

• Contribute to the training and mentorship of students and staff as assigned.

• Foster a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

• Previous experience preferred but not required.

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered or registry-eligible.

• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA BLS-HCP) certification required.

• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Successful completion of orientation and competency validation for the position.
