  • Responsibilities

    The Senior HRIS Administrator manages the credit union’s HR Information System and supports the HR team and management to improve data management, efficiency, and in the development of process improvements and efficiencies.

    1. Responsible for the day-to-day management of HR Information Systems including system maintenance, implementation, upgrades, data entry backup, and integrity of the data within those systems. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. Collaborates with payroll to create and maintain end-user guide and support material. Serves as the go-to subject matter expert for the HRIS. (40%)

    2. Evaluates HR information system to identify points of improvement and implements process improvements designed to improve efficiency and the user experience within the HRIS and between systems. Understands, sets up, and manages ADP Analytics and Benchmarking. Create dashboards customized to each level of management. (15%)

    3. Produces and distributes quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for management staff and HR customers, including compliance driven reporting for state and federal agencies. (5%)

    4. Provides technical assistance and guidance for new and existing Partner-employees on HR Systems. (5%)

    5. Manages all system configuration and technical requirements for the annual Open Enrollment process, including auditing of data feeds and Partner-employee benefit selections. Act as a liaison between the credit union and system vendors. (5%)

    6. Depending on the type of automated file to be sent to a vendor, facilitates the setup of carrier feed files or management reports, or create the report in ADP and ensure the vendor destination and credentials are set up for automated export to the vendor. Files go to internal and external vendors. Ensures the data file is error free via consistent feedback review and follow up if necessary. (5%)

    7. Conducts regular HR Systems audits to ensure that all data is accurate, consistent, secure, and complies with legal requirements. (5%)

    8. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Manager, Human Resources. (5%)

    9. Participates in internal compliance reporting and tracking. Participates in documenting processes and workflow mapping. Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules and regulations. (5%)

    10. Supports compensation processes, including salary survey submission, annual bonus process, merit increases, total compensation statements, etc. (5%)

    11. Security Master in ADP - administers user rights and access in ADP and analyzes and works with ADP to identify and resolve defects within the system. (5%).

    Required Skills

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.

    2. Extensive knowledge of HR processes.

    3. Knowledge of HR compliance.

    4. Five to seven years of previous experience working with an HRIS system in a similar role. Experience with ADP is preferred.

    5. Microsoft Excel power user (VLOOKUP, pivots, databases) is required.

    6. Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

    7. Ability to work independently, interdependently, and as part of a team.

    8. Extensive experience with creating custom reports and extracting data from ADP or a similar system is required.

    9. Experience with salary surveys.

    10. Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    11. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills and proven attention to detail.

    12. Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information.

    13. Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues.

    14. Foresees potential challenges and comes prepared with solutions to solve variety of problems.
