Growing Iselin, New Jersey law firm whose practice centers on various aspects of municipal/public entity law and represents clients in Federal and State Courts is seeking a paralegal to join our team and support both our general public entity department and our litigation department.
Skills and responsibilities:
- Perform tasks such as summarizing transcripts and medical records;
- Analyze and index a large volume of discovery documents and perform other tasks involved with the litigation process;
- Conduct the Bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents;
- Under the guidance of an attorney, create production logs, privilege logs, correspondence logs and document logs as needed;
- Strong writing and analytical ability;
- Previous legal experience or background required;
- Proficient understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and legal procedures;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Works as part of a team and is highly collaborative;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification -preferred.
