Retail Sales Associate

The Range in McKinney is a family-owned indoor shooting range and we are seeking a Part-time Retail Sales Associate. If you have excellent people, computer and customer service skills while working in a fast-paced retail environment, we want to hear from you. The position is a weekend schedule (Sat 10 - 7/ Sun Noon - 6:00) and may include some holidays. Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, able to multi-task, complete tasks individually while working alone or with a team.

Applicant must be 21 years old or older and have no criminal history.

The Range in McKinney is not a woke company. If you apply for this position and are hired, it is expected you will work your schedule. You understand you will be working around firearms, handling firearms and working around people who are carrying firearms. People shoot guns here.

Job Description:

The Range in McKinney is an 18-lane indoor shooting range, gun store, training and event center.

Greet members and guests

Perform sales transactions ACCURATELY while using a computerized point of sale system

Assign shooting lanes – coordinate range traffic

Assist with firearm rental(s)

Assist members/guests in choosing a new firearm - when trained

Maintain compliance with 4473 and NICS Background check process when trained

Answer phone calls

Sell ammunition, memberships, classes and merchandise

Communicate safety requirements to members and guests

Perform opening and closing tasks

Be able to lift 50lbs.

Additional duties as needed but always within reason

Be willing to learn about the firearms industry

Say "NO" when necessary

Required to be on your feet for many hours

All staff will be subject to a background check. If you cannot purchase a firearm legally in the US, you should not apply.
