POSITION SUMMARY

Range Urgent Care is looking for a Billing Specialist to join our team! This role will provide essential support to our Billing team. This position will consist of following up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe, resolving claims and coding-related issues, and ensuring patient accounts are accurate. You will be responsible for calling insurance companies to determine claim status, researching and appealing denied claims, as well as working any self pay accounts with outstanding balances.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· Thorough knowledge of healthcare billing

· Knowledge and experience working with various payors – including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid, Commercial and Managed Care, etc.

· Experience reviewing EOB’s, remits, and payer correspondence in the course of performing account follow-up and escalating any identified issues to the appropriate area for review and response to expedite claim resolution.

· Ability to follow up with patients to collect any missing insurance information needed in the claims adjudication process or collect any self pay balances

· Efficiency, organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are critical skills for this position.
