We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ready Mix Truck Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the proper maintenance and repair of our fleet of ready mix trucks.
Job Description:
As a Ready Mix Truck Maintenance Technician at HRM Concrete, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of ready mix trucks. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and related equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of the fleet.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
Collaborate with drivers and plant personnel to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
Assist with emergency repairs as needed to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in truck maintenance, preferably with ready mix or heavy-duty trucks.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of ready mix truck operations and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials.
Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.
