    IN-HOUSE CORPORATE PARALEGAL JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Reagan Outdoor Advertising is a leading out-of-home company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, providing an advertising medium that includes traditional billboards and digital advertising across multiple markets in the United States.  In business for over 50 years, Reagan Outdoor is a large privately-held company with a small family business feel.  Reagan Outdoor is currently looking for an In-House Corporate Paralegal for our Indianapolis office to support our high performing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented and extremely organized.  This position touches a variety of legal areas; however, it is litigation focused.  You will have the opportunity to research and interpret statutes and regulations, assist with asset acquisitions/divestitures, real estate transactions, litigation, and other designated projects in support of other departments within Reagan Outdoor.  This position will also support the Corporate Real Estate Department with administrative tasks.  This position will report directly to the Corporate Counsel and Associate Corporate Counsel, both based in Indianapolis, who are responsible for all legal matters company-wide. This position will also have direct contact with the Chairman and CEO. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·        Responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration and responses to discovery, including drafting of basic court filing for review.

    ·        Draft legal documents including commercial contracts, leases, real estate documents, confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, corporate formation/governance documents and filings, collateral documents, and correspondence.

    ·        Scanning/copying, distributing, calendaring, and tracking of contracts and contract renewals.

    ·        Filing/recording, tracking, and calendaring of real estate documents.

    ·        Supporting the Corporate Counsel in general administrative work – prepares files, drafts correspondence, updates/maintains case management process and other similar duties.

    ·        Support the Real Estate Manager and Real Estate Department with administrative tasks.

    ·        Conduct legal and factual research.

    ·        Interact with real estate departments and General Managers across multiple markets to prioritize legal issues within each group.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·        Prior litigation experience required.

    ·        Highly organized and detail-oriented with thorough knowledge of legal formalities and terms.

    ·        Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or other approved field of study relevant to law, or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.

    ·        Industry recognized certification from organizations such as NALA or AACP; Indiana State Bar Association Registered Paralegal preferred.

    ·        Five years of experience as a Paralegal; In-house experience preferred.

    ·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); Strong excel skills and knowledge required.

    ·        Expert proofreader with complete command of language.

    ·        Ability to give relevant input and help to establish and enforce department and company procedures as they relate to legal projects and assignments.

    ·        Highly motivated, involved professional who is eager to learn and able to work. independently.

    ·        Working knowledge of corporate and business law, real estate matters and litigation.

    ·        Willingness to learn other areas of law as required to meet department needs.

    ·        Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure of deadlines with multiple projects.
