  • Responsibilities

    This position requires that you exhibit positive communication skills, have an ability to problem solve, have a bookkeeping and accounting technical proficiency, and have the ability to adhere to processes and collaborate to develop efficiencies in your work. Must work to continuously prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with a high level of focus on quality, accuracy, and confidentiality. This is a part-time, hourly position that averages 25-30 hours per week. Our office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Daily/flexible start & end time. Responsibilities: This is not a complete list but a reflection of primary job responsibilities. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE • Enter all vendor billings into QuickBooks when received. • Pay all vendor bills, credit card bills, company loan payments, and rents when due. • Contact vendors with questions regarding bills, when needed. • Reconcile accounts. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE • Record Earnest Money deposits (usually daily) when received. CLOSINGS – Work with other Staff Accountant • After receiving closing paperwork, check, and property file from the Office Admin: • Deposit closing check and earnest money check (when applicable) • Calculate referral fee (if applicable), royalty fee, agent commission, and company dollars. • Enter calculations into QuickBooks. • Prepare and send referral fee payments, if applicable. Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate Degree and 5 years working knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting procedures. Real estate bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required. Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and Word. • Must be self-directed with an ability to set priorities and do multiple projects/ activities simultaneously. • Must have a high level of focus on accuracy and confidentiality. • Professional, personable, and responsible, with the ability to take initiative and be proactive in the position. • Must have a high level of personal and professional integrity. • Must possess a strong work ethic. • Be an organized self-starter. • Be able to relate and communicate effectively with an array of personalities and cultures. • Be a team player. • Must project a strong professional presence in appearance, actions, and personal demeanor in representing Coldwell Banker River Valley, REALTORS. • Must have a "roll up your sleeves and let's get the job done right" type attitude. Compensation: $22 - $24 hourly
