    We’re hiring a detail-oriented accountant to join our expanding real estate team! You’ll reconcile accounts, keep track of accounts payable and receivable, and organize all our financial records. Responsibilities: • Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate • Ensure all records are ready for monthly and quarterly reporting • Obtain signatures for checks and print and distribute checks as needed to properly facilitate all incoming and outgoing payments • Utilize computer software to enter financial data and keep our records organized • Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for Qualifications: • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks • Understands basic rules of GAAP • Experience in real estate industry preferred • Capable of using property management software, such as Yardi • Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred • Must have Real Estate Accounting Experience (Property Management Accounting, Rentals, etc.) • The position requires 3 or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience • Proficiency in personal computer skills, keyboard, Internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc., and other software applications preferred (i.e., QuickBooks , Appfolio ) • Effective communication and interaction with the management team, military partners, co-workers, vendors, or residents, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assigned duties to ensure operational objectives are achieved • Must possess a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, under all circumstances • Working with rental portfolios for at least 5 years is strongly preferred • Ability to travel to other local office locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities Key traits: • Self-starter • Good communicator • Detail oriented • Organized • Problem solver • Team player • Results Driven • Able to work within 30/60/90 goals Technical needs: • QuickBooks experience required • AppFolio experience preferred • Apple Product experience is preferred • Google software preferred • Experience with Asana and Slack preferred Must be able to commute and have dependable transportation. Must have at least 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or construction. Must be able to work a half day every other Saturday. Compensation: $46,000 - $55,000
