Responsibilities: • Ensure all records are ready for monthly and quarterly reporting • Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for • Look over accounts payable and receivable regularly to ensure every invoice and expense report to evaluate accuracy • Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary • Communicate with all vendors, partners, and staff regarding payments and financial records to ensure bills are paid promptly Qualifications: • Real estate industry experience is highly valued • High school diploma required, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is highly valued • Understands basic rules of GAAP • A background in accounting or finance is valuable, but not required • Able to write to and speak with vendors and clients effectively • Must have Real Estate Accounting Experience (Property Management Accounting, Rentals, etc.) • The position requires 3 or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience • Proficiency in personal computer skills, keyboard, Internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc., and other software applications preferred (i.e. Quickbooks, Appfolio ). • Effective communication and interaction with the management team, military partners, co-workers, vendors, or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assigned duties to ensure operational objectives are achieved • Must possess a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, under all circumstances • Working with rental portfolios for at least 5 years is strongly preferred • Ability to travel to other local office locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities • Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred Compensation: $46,000 - $55,000
