    We’re hiring a detail-oriented accountant to join our expanding real estate team! You’ll reconcile accounts, keep track of accounts payable and receivable, and organize all our financial records. Responsibilities: • Review accounts payable and receivable everyday to make sure invoices and expense reports are accurate • Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for • Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings • Stay on top of any needed collections and make sure our bills are paid on time • Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses • Adapt to the needs of the real estate team to complete other accounting tasks when necessary • Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly • Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary Qualifications: • Background in real estate preferred • Must have Real Estate Accounting Experience (Property Management Accounting, Rentals, etc.) • The position requires 3 or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience • Proficiency in personal computer skills, keyboard, Internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc., and other software applications preferred (i.e. Quickbooks, Appfolio ). • Effective communication and interaction with the management team, military partners, co-workers, vendors, or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assigned duties to ensure operational objectives are achieved • Must possess a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, under all circumstances • Working with rental portfolios for at least 5 years is strongly preferred • Ability to travel to other local office locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities • Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred Compensation: $46,000 - $55,000
