Company Overview: We are a dynamic and expanding real estate investment firm specializing in commercial and single-family properties across multiple states. Our portfolio is diverse and growing, and we are looking to add a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Loan Payment Specialist to our team.
Position Summary: As a Real Estate Loan Payment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the payment processing functions related to our real estate loans. This includes handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks within our portfolio. You will interact with borrowers, lenders, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and maintain smooth loan servicing operations. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within our thriving company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Accurately record borrower payments into our mortgage software system and generate distribution reports for the accounting team.
- Accounts Payable: Manage and process payments to lenders and vendors using Bank ACH Software, ensuring prompt and accurate execution.
- Statement Generation: Create and distribute detailed borrower and lender statements, including loan payoff statements as requested.
- Loan Servicing: Onboard loan closing packages into our system with a high level of accuracy, ensuring error-free documentation.
- Customer Service: Address borrower inquiries, process rehab escrow draws, and manage late payment and loan extension notices with professionalism and efficiency.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall loan servicing process.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in payment processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and basic math skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer service abilities and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with payment collections and basic understanding of real estate loan servicing. Knowledge of The Mortgage Office software is a plus.

- Starting at $17 an hour, commensurate with experience.
