Job Description: We are currently seeking a real estate paralegal who will play a crucial role in our firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing HUD/Settlement Statements, Closing Disclosures, title commitments, deeds, clearing title issues, ordering payoffs, verifying taxes, and preparing final title policies. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized individual who will support several attorneys in all aspects of residential real estate closings. The ability to quickly learn new software, including experience with E-Closings/ClosingVue, is advantageous. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong aptitude for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare HUD/Settlement Statements and Closing Disclosures
Communicate with lenders, real estate agents and clients through every aspect of the real estate transaction
Draft title commitments, deeds, and other necessary legal documents
Clear title issues, order payoffs and verify taxes
Prepare final title policies
Support attorneys in all aspects of residential real estate closings
Requirements:
3+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a conveyancing law firm
Proficient in MS Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with E-Closings/ClosingVue
Ability to handle residential loan closings from start to finish
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and ability to learn new software quickly
