We are looking for a studious, organized and methodical real estate paralegal with at least three (3) years of conveyancing experience in purchases, sales, and refinance transactions. The ideal candidate has experience handling files from end-to-end from the moment of client intake, to document orders, generating and vetting documents, preparing letters, trust reconciliation, filings, and closing. A non-exhausting list of tasks to expect are as follows: • Client Intake • Opening files on eConveyance • Strata document order • Insurance binder order • Obtaining payout statements from lenders • Entering figures into our accounting software (Unity Accounting, formerly known as ESI Law) • Generating purchase, sale, and financing documents • Preparing and handing files to the responsible lawyer on a file for review and comment and accepting comments from responsible lawyer • Generating and reviewing trust reconciliations • Making filings in the Land Title Office • Generating invoices and posting transactions in accounting software Responsibilities: • Be highly organized and methodical • Take an interest in reading and studying material • Be prompt and courteous toward staff and clients • Take work seriously and "own your work" • Adhere to solicitor and client privilege (confidentiality) • Write courteous and informative emails • Ordering couriers, preparing mail and packages going out Qualifications: • Excellent interpersonal skills are required for this position • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word and Outlook, is essential • Familiarity with Unity Law and eConveyance is preferred, but not mandatory • A minimum of 3 years of experience working at a law firm or notary office is required • A positive and proactive attitude is highly valued Compensation: $80,000
