Reasint is seeking a full-time CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL CODER / AUDITOR to add to our core team as a RADIOLOGY CODING QUALITY SPECIALIST. 5+years of progressive diagnostic radiology coding / auditing experience is required. Experience in interventional radiology a plus. Seeking an individual that can: work independently; is a quick learner with critical thinking skills; is resourceful with the capability of making decisions; and, is a team player. Position reports to Director of Radiology Coding.
ACCEPTABLE CERTIFICATIONS: CPC, RCC, RCCIR, CCS, CCS-P, COC, CIRCC.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Auditing CPT, HCPCS, modifier and ICD-10 accuracy with the ability to append codes to un-coded exams when needed
- Abide strictly by HIPAA law by maintaining confidentiality and only accessing information as needed for job functions
- Identify any trends within Reasint’s coding application
- Strong in coding guidelines and regulations
- Communicating any errors/trends found with clients and internal stakeholders to help develop a plan of action
- Contribute actively to setting and achieving personal and department goals
- Understand key coding differences between governmental (Medicare) coding and non-governmental coding practices
- Follow as appropriate NCD’s, LCD’s, and NCCI edits
- Meeting deadlines and helping with any projects or audits
- Executing excellent written and verbal communication with client and staff
