  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Lead efficient receiving and auditing processes, ensuring timely availability of planned inventories. Collaborate with your team and others to ensure inbound inventories are specification compliant, accurately recorded, and properly placed. Mentor staff and foster a high-performance culture.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    Location: Richmond, VA

    Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 per year

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure inbound materials are received and stored in accordance with SOP’s.
    • Identify and report receiving discrepancies. Ensure shipping claims are reported and monitored through completion.
    • Count and report raw material and packaging inventories monthly.
    • Assure inbound purchases and shipping schedules are on time.
    • Review planning tools to ensure purchases support forecasted demand using quoted lead times.
    • Ensure shipping container number assignments support timely shipment.
    • Ensure container ship departures and progress support timely arrival.
    • Report unexpected purchase quantities and lead times.
    • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations rigorously.

    • Develop and embrace best practices and procedures for material handling, receiving, and auditing.
    • Quantify time savings achieved through process improvements.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities within the receiving, storing, and auditing processes.
    • Explore automation solutions and technology upgrades within the inbound freight and receiving processes.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in a related field or Information Systems. Associate’s degree is preferred.
    • Demonstrated SAP and Microsoft 365 proficiency.
    • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and prioritization skills.
