Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Reconstruction Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of hands-on tasks related to the restoration and reconstruction of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in hanging drywall, applying texture, painting, and installing minor trim while ensuring quality craftsmanship and efficiency.
In addition to reconstruction duties, the Reconstruction Technician must be willing to assist with water, fire, and mold damage jobs when reconstruction work is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and finish drywall (taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing).
Apply various textures to match existing finishes or meet project specifications.
Perform interior and exterior painting, including proper surface preparation and application techniques.
Install and repair trim work, including baseboards, door casings, and minor carpentry tasks.
Assist with other light construction tasks, such as flooring repairs and general finishing work.
When reconstruction work is not needed, assist with water, fire, and mold remediation tasks, including demolition, cleaning, and structural drying.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, texturing, painting, and trim work.
Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to construction and finishing.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
Willingness to respond to After Hours calls.
Must be open to assisting with water, fire, and mold remediation projects as needed.
Preferred but Not Required:
Experience in water and fire damage restoration and/or mold remediation.
Certifications in IICRC (Water, Fire, or Mold Remediation), OSHA safety training, or similar construction-related credentials.
Knowledge of flooring installation and repairs.
