Job Summary
The Recovery/Reentry Coach engages with clients of Fresh Coast Alliance and supports them in maintaining sobriety and/or reintegrating back into the community post incarceration. The Recovery/Reentry Coach works as a mentor and guide, helping clients identify and access needed recovery or reentry resources.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals in understanding and accessing substance use treatment and other recovery supports
Complete screening and intakes for recovery housing participants
Work with individuals to develop a recovery/reentry plan that includes goals related to relapse prevention, stress reduction, coping skills, critical thinking, housing, employment and addresses barriers
Provide community outreach and effectively collaborate with community partners to educate, identify and link individuals to substance use treatment and recovery/reentry services
Facilitate groups
Reach out to participants who disengage from services.
Model competency in recovery. Share personal recovery journey as needed
Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical behavior. Must be sensitive to diverse cultures and populations.
Maintain confidentiality of all individuals served and comply with all HIPAA requirements
Complete required documentation in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications
High school Diploma or graduate equivalent degree required
Certificate of completion of the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery Coach Academy, including ethics.
Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (CPRM) Certification through MCBAP and/or MDHHS Certification is preferred.
Must be in long term recovery from a substance use disorder for at least two consecutive years.
One year of recovery coaching or related experience is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
