Position Description Summary - Beach & Towel Attendants
Recreation Beach and Towel Attendants are responsible for the safe and successful operation of the pool deck and aquatics facilities. This is a seasonal position.
The Beach & Towel Attendant is primary stationed at the beach entrance and on the Breezeway. Extended periods of sun exposure will occur
Role & Responsibilities
- Create a memorable experience for all Members and guests, continually providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism
- Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon arrival/check-in
- Assist all Members with any requests
- Refer to each Member by name at least three times during their stay
- Enforce all Club rules and policies in and around the aquatics area
- Respond to any emergencies accordingly
- Adhere to all health and sanitation codes and guidelines at all times
- Be knowledgeable about Club events, promotions, and general activities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the aquatics area, adhering to all Club standards
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere, responding to all requests in a timely and professional manner
- Project an upbeat and positive attitude with a good work ethic at all times
- Advise management of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Complete all opening, side, & closing duties, as instructed
- Consistently adhere to state and local laws
- Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness
- Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by the Club, and assist in the implementation of Shoals Club mandatory standards of operations.
- Responsible for all uniforms that are issued and being in uniform for work
- Responsible for the set up and take down Shoals Club beach umbrellas and chairs
**Qualifications & Education Requirements **
- Must possess appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, follow-through, creativity, and a high level of motivation
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Willingness to learn and accept instruction
- Be dependable, prompt, and team-oriented
- Must possess a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Country or Private Club experience preferred
Other Accountabilities
- Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs' operation, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as others are expected to help you while we foster a team environment. Therefore, you may be required to perform other tasks, as needed, that are not included in the above.
- Adhere to all of the various company written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, and other oral instructions.
Working Conditions -
- Working in outside conditions, with varying weather conditions. ****
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk and use hands
- Must be able to sit, stand & walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, squat, lift, kneel, and crouch
