Recruiting Assistant

Key Role: The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for assisting and aiding the sourcing and hiring efforts of the Recruiting team. They are knowledgeable in candidate sourcing as well as the best recruiting practices and policies. They are accountable for candidate communication, assisting with scheduling interviews, understanding the job market, and attending recruiting events like job/career fairs and employer mixers. The Recruiting Assistant shares accountability for employee retention, hitting hiring goals, maintaining hiring standards, and keeping a healthy, growing work environment for other professionals.
Job Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Sending applicant questionnaires and responses
Helping with candidate communication and scheduling interviews
Field admin duties like posting hiring signage
Visiting College and High School campuses for recruiting-based events
Coach 7-12 classes weekly
Answering phone inquiries about job opportunities and recruiting events
Learn to screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage candidate pipelines
Help maintain job postings on all active platforms
Assist in creating a safe & growing work environment
Help draft or review offer letters, job postings, and job descriptions
Track and update candidate interview notes
Requirements:
Interest in recruiting and mentoring others
Minimum of a 1-year commitment
Coach 7-12 classes per week
Help organize and optimize the communication for new hires and foster relationships between new and existing team members.
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Reliable transportation in order to travel to classes all over San Diego County
The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years from the date of hire OR proof of a TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required every 2 years

Hours and Pay:
Part-time position (15-25 hours per week)
$18-22/hr DOE up to 40 hours a week
Eligible for a pay raise and promotion within the first 16 weeks of employment, depending on the hire date. We help all team members through the process of earning 12 credits in Early Childhood Education. Courses are 8 weeks long, asynchronous, and fully online. Team members receive a raise, bonus, and additional benefits if the employee is full-time. Ask your supervisor for more details if this interests you.
