Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development and fun for children ages 2-10. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Coaching Coordinator- Recruiter (CC-R). In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal role in both recruiting talented coaches and coordinating coaching activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality soccer sessions. You will represent Soccer Shots by promoting the company’s core values among staff and within the community. We are seeking someone who can attract talented individuals, coordinate coaching efforts, and foster relationships that promote trust and understanding among all employees.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
• Achieving Seasonal Staffing Goals: Collaborate with the leadership team to determine coaching needs each season. Use various resources to recruit and hire enough qualified coaches for every location.
• CareerPlug Management: Maintain and update active job postings on CareerPlug and other recruitment platforms.
• Networking and Outreach: Attend job fairs, community events, and utilize social media to attract qualified coaching candidates. Develop partnerships with local colleges, universities, and community organizations to expand the recruitment network.
• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee the entire hiring process, including reviewing resumes, conducting assessments, phone screens, in-person interviews, coaching auditions, performing reference checks, and extending job offers.
• Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and that new coaches receive necessary training and orientation, including creating training schedules.
Coaching Support:
• Coaching Development: Coordinate and oversee training programs for coaches to ensure they deliver high-quality soccer sessions that align with Soccer Shots’ curriculum and standards.
• Support and Supervision: Provide ongoing support to coaches, including observing coaching sessions, providing feedback, and assisting with professional development.
• Coach Transitions: Assist coaches transitioning to new locations at the beginning of each season. Ensure they are introduced to directors, set up at new sites, and prepared for their first classes.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
• Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate employee files, ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations.
• Background Checks and Certifications: Monitor background checks and certifications for all coaches, ensuring they are current and renewed as needed without disrupting coaching schedules.
Administrative and Marketing Support:
• Preseason Logistics: Support preseason logistics and assist in delivering marketing materials.
• Meetings: Attend team and departmental meetings to stay aligned with organizational goals.
• Marketing Events: Participate in marketing events at partner locations to promote the Soccer Shots program during drop-off/pickup or open house events.
Coaching Duties:
• Coaching Sessions: Coach engaging and enthusiastic soccer sessions for children ages 2-10 for 4-5 blocks per week to stay connected with the coaching experience and maintain a pulse on program delivery.
