Job Summary:
We are seeking a Managing Paralegal to oversee key operational aspects of the firm's paralegal and legal support teams. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal with leadership experience who excels in organization, team management, and supporting attorneys in a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage legal secretaries (without leadership or direct authority capacity).
- Execute the vision and directives of Managing Paralegals (MPs).
- Oversee and coordinate attorney calendar management, coverage, and case transfers.
- Attend and contribute to pod meetings.
- Monitor and manage receptionist and legal secretary (LS) chats.
- Provide coverage for MPs, ensuring no independent decision-making but acting as the eyes and ears of leadership.
- Ensure that biweekly trainings occur and collaborate with senior paralegals on new training topics.
- Run and analyze reports from Clio as directed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within the family law field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a legal setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software (Clio experience preferred).
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
