Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician specializing in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and ice machine equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup: Install new commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines, including refrigerators, freezers, coolers, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and ice makers, according to specifications and company standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- System Upgrades: Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor time.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service by addressing their concerns and answering any questions about their refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines.
- Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational program in refrigeration and HVAC technology is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician specializing in commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and ice machines.
- Certification: EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants; other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, ice machines, electrical components, and related equipment; proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Other: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
