Interstate AC Service is currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration and VRF Installer with a minimum of 3-5+ years of industry expertise in Commercial projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both Refrigeration Systems and VRF Technology, ensuring efficient installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all related piping systems. This role requires strong technical skills as well as a commitment to safety and quality. This candidate must be local to or willing to work in the Nashville, TN surrounding area.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and VRF systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and manufacturer standards.
- Lay out, install, and connect VRF and refrigeration piping, including copper, PVC, and insulation application.
- Conduct pressure tests and leak tests on piping systems to ensure system integrity and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians and other team members to ensure proper operation of installed systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, making necessary repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of installation processes, materials used, and project progress.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, adhering to best practices in the workplace.
- Mentor and train junior installers and apprentices when necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and VRF systems as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
- Proven experience in refrigeration and VRF piping installation, with a strong understanding of HVAC principles.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to refrigeration and piping.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Capacity to work in different environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
