    Job Description

    The Regional Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations within the Built Environment East region. This role collaborates closely with the national AR/AP teams to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of accounting records, processes, and reporting for all regional business units. The Regional Accounting Manager will provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the efficient execution of accounting functions, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

    The role involves tracking key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and analyzing data to improve efficiency.

    The Regional Accounting Manager can work from any of the Eurofins Built Environment Testing labs on the East Coast (Marlton, NJ; Chantilly, VA; Cary, NC; Fort Mill, SC; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable

    • Vendor management: Build relationships with key vendors, identify new/backup vendors, onboard new vendors, communicate best practice procurement requirements.
    • Oversee creation and updates of routine and blanket purchase orders using a BSM system for BU, ensure proper GL coding
    • Ensure purchases are made within allocated budget
    • Optimize regional consumable spend through financial analysis, vendor consolidation, and contract negotiation.
    • Train new staff on the use of Business Spend Management (BSM) software.
    • Act as first point of escalation to resolve issues related to requisitions, vendor invoice payments
    • Review monthly procurement reports and oversee timely resolution of pending issues

    Accounts Receivable

    • Ensures SOPs are created, training complete for pricing and invoicing procedures of special projects
    • Act as point of escalation for clients related to online enrollment, password, sign-on issues and other online related questions
    • Support NSC with asks from staff accountants and financial audits
    • Coordinate monthly AR report review; prioritize and track action items through resolution
    • Liaise with AR team and clients to resolve unapplied cash, invoice discrepancies, and aging
    • Identify and propose process improvements and efficiency gains across BSM, LIMs, Payment, and communication systems

    Other

    • Coordinate regional benchmarking projects and reports
    • Track Accounting KPIs for each Business Unit
    • Develop training resources and accounting best practice standards
    • Provide input for annual budget planning
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience (BMQ):

    • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business field
    • Customer service experience 2+ years

    ** Additional preferences:**

    • MBA is a plus
    • Experience considered in lieu of degree
    • Experience working in a laboratory setting

    Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

    • Clear and professional communication skills with customers and co-workers, both verbally and written
    • Computer literate (Office suite, Adobe PDF, BSM)
    • Prioritization and on-time execution of tasks

    Requirements:

    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
    • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

    Full-time position Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of any Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division labs are encouraged to apply.

    Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000/yr.

    Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
