    Regional Sales Representative - Lumberyards + Dealer
    Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island.
    Home Based, Must Live in + be willing to travel the territory

    Our client is a growth focused company that sells trim, moulding, and other building products. They are looking for a Regional Sales Rep to take over their Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and parts of NYC including Long Island territory.

    We’re looking for someone experienced at selling to lumberyards. This is an amazing opportunity to get in and take over an existing book of business, but also be in place for the transformational growth the company is about to experience. The company has rebranded and revamped their offerings to the market to make it easier for their sales team to grow their existing customers and made strategic investments to open up new customers.

    The ideal candidate is:

    • A curious and proactive person who truly enjoys turning selling dealers into stocking dealers and fostering long-term client relationships

    • A strong communicator that enjoys the process of maintaining customer relations

    • Someone that knows how to build and maintain trust through integrity, transparency, and reliability

    • Someone who is interested in forest products, lumberyards, and sustainable products

    • Organized, structured, and able to function autonomously at a high level. This allows you to serve your prospects and customers well across a large territory

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Past success selling to independently owned lumberyards is highly preferred

    • Knowledge or experience selling forest products, lumber, pine, cedar, trim, mouldings, and decking would be a bonus, but is not required

    • A Driver's License and valid passport. Travel to Canada will be required occasionally

    Responsibilities + Opportunities:

    • Cultivates and manages relationships with existing lumberyard clients

    • Offer personalized service to address specific client needs and preferences, ensuring high satisfaction levels

    • Sell high quality products backed by extremely strong warranties

    • Learn and keep up to date on the product mix and industry trends

    This position offers:

    • A generous compensation package with a strong base and commission potential. Your income will continue to increase by converting selling dealers into stocking dealers and by the additional new business development initiatives the company is starting
