    Our consulting client is seeking a full-time Regional Utility Management Director in the Seattle Metro area to lead their Seattle office. There is a sizable backlog of work in this region so this leader, in the near-term, will be managing projects, building brand awareness, and hiring a team.

    The leadership role will support current project engagements and help expand utility management consulting services. This position will manage projects, hire/lead/mentor the Seattle staff, develop client relationships, and support business development. The ideal leader has a 10 years as a utility management and/or engineering consultant at a consulting firm (some public sector can be included) with a focus on water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems. Must have a successful record of leadership, developing and maintaining client relationships, and managing projects.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide engineering consulting services that include utility management / asset management, strategic planning, operations optimization/lean processes, regulatory support, maintenance management, master planning, technology selection/on-boarding, and/or data management/visualization.

    Maintain client relationships and participate in business development activities such as client engagement, proposal writing, and sales presentations

    Manage complex projects and manage the work of the staff

    Ideal Qualifications:

    B.S. in Engineering

    10 years as a consultant in an A/E consulting firm with a focus on water, wastewater or stormwater systems.

    Skill in utility management and asset management consulting services

    Project management skills with ability to effectively manage teams with concurrent projects and deadlines

    Ability to build brand awareness, establish relationships, create awareness with teaming partners, or have an established network of relevant contacts
